The Woeste Westen is a playground like no other! Located on the northwest edge of Westerpark, it’s a place for adventurous children to get their hands dirty and learn more about nature.

A piece of nature where you can play

At the Woeste Westen you can dig, climb, play in the sand, wade through the streams and pick a bouquet of wildflowers. Or inspect frogs and insects and get to know all the creatures that call the park home. Kids are encouraged to play on their own while parents relax with a drink on the terrace.

A playground supervisor is present on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 – 18:00 and the rest of the week from 12:00 – 18:00. During this time you can also buy refreshments. As the playground is public property, it’s always open – even if a supervisor isn’t there.

The Woeste Westen is a great spot for a birthday party. Besides simply enjoying the playground, you can organise a wide range of special activities like making slingshots or learning to build campfires.
